Lately my mind has been racing. I have just celebrated my Birthday, which always bring about some serious bouts of thought. Also, the situations around me have left me wondering about a lot of things. Many thoughts are of personal matters, but because these have mounted of late, it has set the pace for more serious contemplation. These personal situations/thoughts have been prodominatly negative, which has lowered my mood conciderably - at least compared to the level of celebration and thought process normally associated with gaining a year.
I must apologise here, because of the seriousness of this blog, because of the ridiculous vocabulary and content, and because I now find myself regretting spilling my souls secrets onto the internet. So, sorry if this is not what you wanted to read. Assuming of course anyone has the incling to read this far.
At this point I have read over this, this being my first blog. I can see that it may not make much sense, but if I was to try and edit - I would most likely delete too much and struggle to fill in the blanks. Not to say I regret it in every sense, I do enjoy writing. I like poetry because I can do it daily and can refine before I share. I am attemping to write stories for children also, though not as often as I would like, or should. But, this is only one of very few blogs I have written and shared online. To me it seems essentialy to be a diary entry, which may be why I am being too critical and personal, and possibly why I must fight the urge to scrap it and choose a new approach.
Having said that, I would appreciate feedback on this blog. Let me know if I should change my approach, or maybe there is someone out there who actually enjoyed reading this.
I will shut up for now, but who knows how long the silence will last!
Will be a bit more positive for my 2nd blog here on Zaadz, afterall - we are members of a positive community here - aren't we?
Sorry, shutting up now, thanks for reading.

I have been to the summit of Ben Nevis! And other unspoilt places in Scotland. There are few places where you can look without seeing traffic, people or other signs of modern life. I am honoured to have experienced that, maybe only briefly, but experienced non the less.
Although others may have shared this experience, I will always consider Ben Nevis to be a sacred place, in its own right. The area has such beauty to offer - I just wish everyone would, or could, truly respect its beauty.
Think Middle Earth!

If I could, I would start with a small publishing business! Perhaps only to publish my own stories at first, they would be shipped to whoever had want or need for them. Then, when the ball had rolled, I would attempt animations for children. Productions that actually stimulate and have purpose. The hope would be that one day I could start a childrens television series that was created for the children, let them have influence on what goes on. I bet if The Teletubies had had to stand up in front of a panel of youthful judges they wouldn't have stood a chance!
You may ask why the pie in the sky dream, well if you could see kids tv the way I do, and I'm sure there are those who do, you would know how desperate the need for new and improved shows really is! Not to say I am a gifted writer, but the children could come up with better ideas than the drivel they show! There are few programmes that are not seriously surrreal, abstract or in some other way misleading to young minds.
There were other ideas I had for businesses, but like a lot of past possibilities, they were seen for what they truely were. I don't want to start something unless its going to do something. I hope that my stories will one day connect me to people from around the world that share my views. I would love to see the way other lives can effect ours too.
The publishing company would print leaflets, pamphlets and posters. It would provide service for any charitable organisations. I would love to support causes through helping. I would take a serious look over all the ideas I have cast aside and try to make them happen.
I always wanted to have the chance to help return recued animals to their natural habitat. I am writing a story I plan to base on that issue. I hope to give credit to those who do the very thing, from Cat rescue to rerelease and beyond., writing about their plight to raise awareness of their activities.
I do apologise fo this, I never really wrote this down before, it has been at the centre of my thoughts for some time. I thank you for encouraging me with todays questions and reflections!

There are obvious answers to this question, compassion for example. Human interaction. Conversations that seem to lighten our load, knowing that others feel what we feel. Global understanding of priorities, peoples united by a strong belief in justice and equality.
By now, in this day and age, we can expect to find that the opinions we voice within ourselves are felt by a multitude of others. When we see the actions of war torn countries on the news, we know that the majority are as upset as we are.
We are left with the same bitter taste but at least we know that we are not alone.
Throughout the world we find too much sickness, too much poverty. There are parts of the world which have been left to rot in the wake of capitalist gain. Peoples homes have been left to decay. Buildings have been abandoned, people and pets alike are estranged. We seem in such a rush to achieve that we no longer care about what we set out to achieve in the first place.
But there are many examples of individuals who decide to do something about it. Those who saw what was going on and refused to take it lying down. Those who longed to see green parks and safe areas for children. Those who no longer wanted to see or hear gun shots in the street. People who had enough. It is these individuals who give this life meaning. The few who have fought for what they believe in, even if they had to rise from the lowest level to even begin their work.
You ask what makes life meaningful, I ask you - who makes life meaningful?
